'Yellow Jumpsuits' Documentary/dance
3 minutes
South Africa, 2017
Part dance, part lifestyle, Pantsula culture has its roots in apartheid-era South Africa, when bright overalls and bucket hats were the standard uniform for black men employed as gardeners in white neighborhoods. It’s a theatrical reflection of township life where any place can be the stage and anyone can create their own narrative.
